Nexuiz server

Well that setup guide is based on the official download you get from the alientrap.org page. From what i get about the debian nexuiz packages the server package just contains the server binary.. i think you need nexuiz-server and nexuiz-data to be able to run the server on debian or ubuntu

Ok I got it working, to answer a few questions. At least one of which I believe I already stated

I run ubuntu 8.04 (linux) it is not a mac, it also does not have X installed and therefore has no graphical interface

I did not install the package manually, I used "sudo aptitude install nexuiz-server" (this retrieves it from the official repositories)

I was able to run the server by typing "nexuiz-server" in the terminal, I dont know why I didnt think of that

I had to gunzip the sample config file and start the server with "nexuiz-server +exec server.cgf" in order to customiize the server

nexuiz-data was not requited, it is for the game, not the server

Well, on Debian it is required and in fact it is a hard dependency of nexuiz-server, so if you used aptitude there's a good chance you already have it installed.

Glad you got it working, maybe you can also tell others how.. like were did you had to put the server.cfg file. So far i only used the official zip file to setup an server, never the debian packages.
