I downloaded the most recent version of Nexuiz (2.4.2) and the map pack, installed that properly, and loaded up the game. It found the maps upon startup like it was supposed to do listed them.
The problem is whenever I try to play on a map (I tried the first campaign map since I'm new to it, first), it'll load fine, but once I hit enter, the game freezes and the audio goes into a loop, and then it crashes and Windows brings up a message telling me it has to be closed down. I thought it might just be that map in particular, so I tried another, and the same result.
Under some situations where I hit enter and it spawns me in the area where the camera first showed, then I can move around for about 4 seconds or so, but it inevitably crashes in the same manner.
I planned to run this on my computer (which has an nVidia graphics card and Linux) but right now I'm constrained to using my father's dated machine.

Also, the game, for the few seconds that I got to move around, performed fine under the custom settings it was set to (Normal texture quality, vertex models off, OpenGL 2.0 shaders off, 800x600 res)
