System:
Gentoo Linux 2.6.26, Nexuiz 2.4.2 SDL, nVidia drivers 173.14.12
AMD64 3200, 1GB Ram, nVidia GeForce 6800 x2 in SLI
Problem:
I popped onto Galt's Gult CTF +hook and received csprogs.dat.183680.6438 (the name displayed after the download was loaded). Among the very cool features like the scoreboard and map previews during votes, the hook was upgraded to be thicker and pull players caught with it.
The problem I have is that the new hook obscures half the screen when hooking anything above the horizon. I'd prefer to have the thinner hook line, but in the interest of a compromise, I'd also settle for a feature to adjust the alpha transparency of the hook, so that it's less of a nuisance.
I'm not sure who is responsible for the new feature set (Nexuiz devs, Galt, that other guy).
The upside to the new hook is that I'm discouraged from playing more than a couple of maps, so my evenings are no longer consumed by nexuiz ^_^
Thanks to whoever is responsible for the new features, especially the scoreboard.
