Serverlog - save only chats

Hey Guys!
Is there any chance to say Nexuiz that it should save only chats in a logfile? and errors in another one?
I got a fun server and often change settins... so logfile is soon about 200M big.
Or is there any other way to make it smaller?

There is a perl script which acts as a bot in irc replicating messages said in the game to the channel, so you can use this to log messages.
