SVN, or subversion control, is a way for developers to collaborate on code by checking it out from a central location and checking it back in when they have completed their changes. There are many systems that do this, SVN is just one of them. Alientrap just happens to use this (relatively popular) method. The only reason you need to know this, is to have an idea of how fresh the code is.

This is like a (pre)beta version of Nexuiz! It has many new features you may have seen on different servers and some even newer ones you may have not.

- Team Radar
- Sexy Scoreboard
- Fun Sounds
- Sweet new hook

and many many more changes, fixes and awesomeness.

Well there is rumor about an upcoming feature freeze.. usually there have been forum test-releases then :D

And while i think Z's explanation is good, i want to add that SVN is just a way to organize code or more general different version of files. The game is stable but its still fun to change further, to improve and make it better. The Nexuiz team uses svn to organize the Nexuiz files and thus 'svn' generally means the current state of the development of Nexuiz.
Now and then you (re)pull the files or their changes from svn and thus get the spearhead of development.. Which will sooner or later reach a point were the devs agree its all good and well and deceide to warp it up and release as a new version.
Generally svn is nice to see whats going on but to keep confusion down only people that know what they are doing should bother with it.. (ofc nothing is wrong with tesitng if one knows enough :D )
