Ok, you called it. There was an old patch.pk3 laying around, and when I copied some of my favorite maps over it was included.

Now things look way cooler and the weapons act right.

Yeah, the old patch files are evil (their names.. as pk3 files are loaded alphabetically so a old patch file could trash a new release) .. as 2.5 had no patch to upgrade from an older release we will switch to a new naming scheme for patches to put a stop to such problems in the future.
