[solved] Problem with serverconfig - "Prepare for battl

Postby tceins » Tue Apr 14, 2009 10:33 am

Hi,

since 2.4 I am hosting the PK-Minsta-Servers. Thanks for this great game!!!

I changed our SVN-Test-Server to the great new version 2.5 and have a small config problem.

How can I get rid of the "Prepare for battle" countdown?

Thx for you help

Ha! I missed this while searching... Thanks a lot!

Well, I made a setup for the minsta-community, but I play very seldom since a year... a lot of work, family and so on... I am sorry for giving no feedback!

But let me give a positive feedback to the new version:

:D :D :D I know a lot players that had problems to play with a high (>60) ping... That works much better!
The look and feel is great for me, I love the new scoreboard and the new mapvote!

A great thing for managing a server is the new "sv_vote_master_commands"

The new logfile-format messed up my stats-parser  But I wanted to write a new one since a long time, so now I have to :)
I am not a great developer, so I will do it with mono and vb.net
I added the fragruns to the logfile, so I dont have to count the during parsing the log.

In one word: GREAT

Thanks for your work!

I just assume the worst attitude people can have by default. Don't bother.

:) OK, np.

Of course i care. This was my first post here, shame on me as a server admin :) But I found a hint here in this forum for every problem I had. Thats really positive!!

BTW, thx for your HowTo Setup a ladder server 2.5. I don´t have any but I use the changeable modes on our new 1on1-server.

Well running a svn server can always lead to problems.. also to enable smooth playing for 'older' clients one often needs a svn compat pack. Quite a few admins managed to build it wrong and had a 70mb file. And ofc we want FEEDBACK from svn servers.. also collect weapon stats from possible balancing changes...
Thats why i think its bad if we do not get feedback and why i think only a few people should be running svn servers.. really, too much will just confuse players about what is released and what not..
