afaik You need the service tag for the online support. You can choose then to install a system profiler tool. When You got this, You should get a user-friendly, detailed information about Yer chipset. 915 Express family includes at least 4 chipsets.

PS: I hate Dell and their PCs... :?

Huh, how come this was so easy for you, but isn't working for me?

Anyways, you're saying I should go to the customer support, and ask them what my motherboard info is, and ask for the latest drivers for it?

Okay, I'll update when I get around to that. Not sure if it's worth it for just Nexuiz itself, but if it's going to harm other games too, I guess I'll have to. Were any other games affected, Urmel?

Nope, You don't have to. There's an online support where You can get that. But it's not really necessary. Just open Yer system control, open "System" and Your Hardware window (shit I dunno what is shown on english, french or whatever language screens). Maybe this looks familiar to You:

You can see there which Intel Chipset You actually have. Most important is the information about the processor to AGP Controller. Then go to the Intel HP, download all available drivers and install them.

If You have trouble w Nexuiz, You can of course get into trouble with other games. And one thing's for sure: Everything is worth doing for gettin Nexuiz running, no question :D

You (or someone else :) ) should delete this from your post because no one needs your windows xp product key to help you, and someone could use your key to activate a pirated copy of windows.

Thanks.

As for the chipset, it appears that the drivers I downloaded were correct. Any of the four, that is. For my chipset, thing thing says GL, G, GV, P, are all correct.

I haven't had any doubts about the correctness of the drivers :)

Did You take a view on the drivers' dates and have You checked on the Intel site if there's anything newer? (sry, You didn't post anything about that)

 yesterday i noticed left/right seperation was broken on my computer.. so thats why i sometimes thought my opponent was in the other direction. After an drivers update that now works.. but now front/back seems to be not ok.. this is ridiculous. Next time i'll think twice about using the on board 5.1 system.. and dell was supposed to sell good stuff

Maybe your problem is not with drivers after all. If they all installed nicely and seem to work.

No, the ones I have been downloading, that install ridiculously fast are from the intel site. They are these:

The Intel® Chipset Software Installation Utility installs the Windows* INF files. The INF files inform the operating system how to properly configure the chipset for specific functionality, such as AGP, USB, Core PCI, and ISAPNP services.

I could be wrong, but I don't think this is a chipset driver. :?
