Or in other words, forget about spending money and time in working on hacks because of buggy drivers. Guess how many fixes opensource ati-drivers would have gotton from all the projects that suffer from bad graphics drivers these days ...
Still, you should try if the problems go away with r_glsl 0. Then you at least can play. If it helps, we found out that this option does not only need to be forced off on Apple systems (which it already is), but also on Linux/ATI systems. Can you try on Windows?
However, we do need workarounds for buggy drivers. A test system with this bug would be quite welcome, but nobody of us has one.
Note: I am not saying nvidia's drivers were perfect. They are anything but. However, they seem to be _more_ correct - and most of the work on DP is done on nvidia cards, so such bugs are immediately worked around when the code is written.
Still, I've never read of anyone recommending to buy ATI cards because nvidia drivers are buggy... so this does speak for problems with ATI.
