Hello all ,
My pc specs :
Pentium 4 3.0 GHZ hyper-threading supported
1 gig DDR2 rams
GeForce Fx 5200 256mb ( not that good but it can run any game :S )
The game was slow on the defauly res. ( 800x600 ) which is kinda unplayable to me because i have a 21" so when i changed it to my usual res. 1600x1200 , of course it became slower
My pc is higher than recommended requriements i belive so why is it too slow ? even in the menu my mouse moves toooo slow.
Thanks.
Yeah right !

Windows/Linux Glx/SDL Do other games have the same issue ? Are do you have the proper drivers ? Are you using hardware accerlation ? Is your AGP driver ok ? Countless possible cases ...
Try to answer as much as possible from the above question to help us resolve your issue.

So you are using .exe ? In other words ? U are using wine to run nexuiz ?
Doubt ... Gtx ... my mistake I meant GL (OpenGL) .... Try posting the entire or just the driver section of your /etc/X11/xorg.conf please ....
Also tell me your distro, might help me giving you the exact commands to run...
Other then that make sure the closed drivers are installed from nvidia ....
You can catch me today on #gametome on irc.freenode.org if you want to get a more direct way of communicating ...

The GeForce FX 5200 is to blame. That's a very crappy card and simply too slow for serious gaming. Disable OpenGL 2.0 shaders in the Effects section and try gl_combine 0 in the console.

Depends, I get higher FPS with certain effect on when using 2.0 versus not using them... So if you have like dynamic lights on it can improve your fps

Most common problem, I just can't understand why ppl doesn't install the latest drivers on a new pc oO If I reinstall a apc, this is maybe the first thing I do when the system is up

Guess most people think 'i got a new PC, so the drivers should be uptodate"
But i think thats wrong for most brands. For example my dell was very outdated iirc..
