Hey guys,
I so as the title states, when I load a game on Nexican or Intoxicated Minstagib severs (didn't try any other just assumed that it wouldn't work on them either) all I can see is the armor, health, guns, and ammo things. The rest is black (no textures I assume), and the people are diamonds.
I know what your thinking (at least I hope I do, that way we can save some time and skip some steps), it is just a corrupt download of a map and some models or something like that. I don't think it is though, here is what I have done.
Here is what Nexuiz 2.51 sdl is running on:
ATI HD4870X2 with Catalyst 9.6 drivers
Ubuntu 9.04 Jaunty 64 Bit Clean install
Compiz Not Installed and metacity is disabled (Gnome is desktop)
Frame rates of about 200 to 300 per second
After the install I copied over my backed up map catch, config file, and autoexec file along with the main Nexuiz folder. Ran Nexuiz and gave me what I described above. I thought it was corrupted maps so I deleted the catch and let it redownload, still the same thing. So I deleted the Nexuiz folder and .nexuiz folder and downloaded it again. Even with fresh Nexuiz I still had the same problem. I have tried setting the settings to low res, low effects, high res high effects, and some in between (though it you would like me to try something I would rather do it as to not miss anything).
The funny thing is, I can play single player just fine (though it is a little jumpy, still has high frame rate though)
I feel that there is very little chance that it is an actual Nexuiz bug and that it is probably the ATI drivers. The reason for this is that after three months they finally just released a driver that would work for the HD4870X2 cards and Jaunty (9.6 drivers).
I really do love Nexuiz, thus I was hoping that there was a fix (and I don't mean waiting on ATI for a new driver, and I swear, the next rig I build with be Nvidia) or a work around that y'all might now or make.
Here is the pastbin link to my log file:

I guess if I can't fix it I will just have to downgrade to Ubuntu 8.10 Intrepid.
Thanks for any help,
Albert
