Map Downloads on MacBook

I am using a macbook and when I try to connect to a server sometimes I can see the map and sometimes I can't. I don't think it is a server problem because sometimes I can see the map on the server but can't see the next one. I also can't see the icons at the bottom most of the time, I just see checkered boxes.

I am using OSX Leopard

Are these some specific maps or do you get those problems at random?

Sounds like your missing libcurl, not sure how to install that on OS X.

Which Nexuiz version is that?

Um, I think it is for most (maybe all) maps that I have to download. This is the latest version, I just downloaded it. (2.5.1)

Edit: Just tried using version 2.5 and that doesn't work either.
