I just unzipped Nexuiz to a folder on the hard drive. Trying to play a map, single or multiplayer, will load the map, go to the terminal, and print a whole bunch of lines that are normally printed (having played Nexuiz before). When it gets to the point where the 3D rendering should be initialized, on the gl version, it freezes indefinitely. In the sdl version, it flat-out crashes to the desktop. I'm using version 2.5.1 and I have successfully used version 2.4 on the same box. I have:
WinXP Home SP3 32-bit
Celeron M 1.8 GHz
768 MB ram (128 of which are dedicated vram)
30 GB 5400 RPM 2.5 inch hard drive
15" 1024x768 screen
Radeon IGP 345M (essentially a mobile radeon 7000 series) driver version 6.13.10.6138
Like I said earlier, Nexuiz 2.4 worked under both Windows and Ubuntu at some point in the past, so it must be something with 2.5.
There is no log as the logging procedure yielded an empty file. This installation works perfectly fine on a different computer I have, so the installation itself isn't corrupted in any way. I'm not looking for speed here, as I know I'm not getting it. I just want to be able to play it, period.
