Player models, weapons skins r invisible! - Intel Extreme g

Postby peterk » Sat Dec 05, 2009 8:52 pm

Hi,
I have three machines P4 2.5Ghz, ( motherboards - Gygabyte 8GEM667K and Intel D845GVSR), all are running Intel Extreme Graphics on the motherboard graphics driver.

When I run Nexuiz, I can only see the game map, but cannot see any players, weapons or other icons.

Can anybody help me fix this? I have no idea whare to start.
Thank you
Peterk

First thing to try is to install the last 3D intel drivers for your platform.
Then in the settings menu, video tab :
- disable "use OpenGl 2.0 Shaders (GLSL)"
- disable "use Occlusion Queries"
- set 'Vertex Buffer Objects (VBOs)" to off
In the Effects tab : press the low button quality preset.
In Multiplayer / Player Setup : set gibs to none

Thank you for your quick reply.
I have the latest Intel Extreme Graphiocs and whatever graphics drivers from the Intel site I could find.
I have tried your suggested mods, but to no avail.

If you can give me some indication of what I am trying to acheive (eg. reducing the amount of graphic processing), I am quite willing to keep modifying the settings in that vain.

Go you have another suggestion for me to try.
Your help is most appreciated.
Thank you

We tried to disable a maximum of settings available in the menu which could be unsupported on your platform, very slow, or bugged. I don't know what trigger the rendering problem. There are more cvars available in the console (shift+esc) you should test one by one :
- gl_mesh_drawrangeelements 0
- gl_combine 0
- gl_lockarrays 1
I'm out of idea for the moment, but i'm afraid you wont have a good gaming experience anyway, you need a good 3D card for a game such as Nexuiz.
