Crash on Settings Apply or Quit in Karmic Koala 32bit

Every game launch I seperated with

so you have less trouble to navigate.

Here are numbered list for each block and the changes to settings I made:

1. Changed EFFECTS Preset to ULTRA
2. Changed Video Settings to best available ( resolution stayed in 1024x768 )
3. Lowered Master volume to -10dB
4. Enabled NetGraph, Accelometer and FPS Bar
5. Set Sound channels to 4.1
6. Enabled Taunts
7. Tried to play
... CRASH!!!

I may eventually re- copy some blocks, but the changes still are in this order.

The last one ( after last block in log is crash when I:
enable HDR or Textrure Quality to "Best" in EFFECTS Tab.

Also, Game sometimes instantly stops any sound output ( for no noticable reason ).

Do you need more info? I cannot make screenshot of crash or get any log because all PC is freezed and unresponsive ...
