BTW.. i think the nex was easier to aim before.. when you had to trace the imaginary line between the gun and the point in infinite distance forward, cause that line never changed.. now it seems to change as the crosshair resides on walls of different distance from the gun...

yes i was of course referring to (m)instagib :)

sorted now tho, removed crosshair altogether. its quite surprising how you can develop a feel for the game without focussing on a X.

in standard game theres enough splash damage anyway to not worry about exactitudes.

back in a few weeks. away to canada for the Hols

Yes, it happend everytime. If you wanna chack it, checkout svn revision 986 (it was fixed in r987)

now it seems to change as the crosshair resides on walls of different distance from the gun...

Well it's either that or the nex can't shoot through ppl...

Which is when? I know for sure I've killed more than one person with one shot in the past, did that requre the first person to be severly hurt in advance?

As i said: that was fixed before 1.5 release and the bug first appeared long after 1.2.1 release.
And no, the nexbeam always goes through players, no matter how much health/armor they have.

Well, seems like i didn't try hard enough back then... (i was in hurry because of the releasedate :P)
I managed to get the nex the way it should be: it shoots through players, it can shoot through clipping brushes and it hits a player when the crosshair is pointing at him. And don't you dare start whining again that the nex is too powerfull, now that the crosshair is working right! :D

However there's one thing i don't like about this: now the nex can shoot at strange angles thoughout the entire map, not only on short distances, when you are facing a wall. I wonder how long it takes before a guy called "Player" starts screaming "Cheater!!!11" because of this...
