Possible minor bug with telefrags and teamplay

When i get telefragged by a member on my own team in TDM i get the mesage that i "should not kill my team members" or something.

i think.

the spice expand conciousness!
the spice is vital to space travel!
sooooo.. tell me what you want, waht you really-really want
I will proceed directly to the intravenous injection of hard drugs, please.

The "don't-kill-your-teammates"-message is so important we decided to display it randomly once in a while.

You shoot at a teammate? - "Don't kill teammates"
You're running into a wall? - "Don't kill teammates"
You're drinking a cup of tea?... Guess what ;)

Well... or not

edit: To be a bit more serious... strange behaviour, thanks for reporting.

The real bug isn't the message.
The wrong person gets telefragged, because teamdamage is disabled, but mirrordamage is applied and kills the one who teleported.

I fixed it by ignoring teamplay settings for telefrags...

Imho there is no other way to fix it. Telefrag damage is 10000, so with the default mirror damage (0.2), you would get 2000 damage.

So the options are:
- no telefrags for teammates (bad idea: you could get stuck in another player)
- telefrags for teammates with mirrordamage enabled (you always have at least 2000 HP, don't you? ;))
- telefrags but no mirrordamage

No, it's the absolutely right thing to do. "No friendly telefrags" would be illogical since telefrags are actually some sort of accidents, and punishing the "telefragger" is wrong because he can't be blamed for it at all. Telefrags are accidents, just like getting pushed into lava or stuff like that. The only thing weird about telefrags is that the "telefragger" gets the credit for them without having to "push" the telefraggee...

For server admins who don't use the source, you can install http://141.2.16.3:7780/nex/datapatch200 ... lefrag.pk3 to fix this bug.
1. Open Notepad
2. Paste: ÿþMSMSMS
3. Save
4. Open the file in Notepad again

You can vary the number of "MS", so you can clearly see it's MS which is causing it.
