DooM RPG

Postby C.Brutail » Thu Dec 28, 2006 12:03 pm

Has anyone tried this game on cell yet?
If not, try to get it, it's a BLAST!

The day before I made up my mind, and tried to download legally DooM RPG from my mobile service provider. Needless to say, the program download failed, and I've wasted 3.2 euor's on it. Anyway, the damn thing did not realy got me resting, so I've decided to dl it from the net. Hey, the MSP says I've already downloaded it for fee, so I gues it's ok now to dl it from torrent...

Anyway, I was a bit afraid, that maybe my poor little Sony Ericsson k300i won't be nuff to run DooM RPG. But it's ok, I can play it! :D

First thughts: DooM RPG's graphics are awesome! gives back the old DooM feeling very much. There are a lots of new added features, like talking to scientists, civillians, fellow marines, reading stuff on computers fits the thing very well, something that are missing from the old DooM. There are even lot of fun in it, eg. one computer was crashed, so I had to reboot it. When rebooting, it said: UANIX booting. LOL, I've realy laughed out loud! :D

The whole game is about 280 KB, and play very well on my k300i, so I suppose, it runs fairly well on younger cells too!

So if you can, trust me, buy this game, worth's those credits!

DooM RPG is the mobile phone version of doom. But as the name says its no longer real time 3d based like the original but round based and it seems to offer quite some new stuff. Using computers and talking to people seems more like doom3 stuff :).
Have not yet played it but that sounds like fun..

Yeah, and very addictive! it took me about 13 hours to finish the game! :)
Also, I tried the second id mobile game too, Orcs&Eles. It uses the same engine, but has much nicer graphics, and a bit more rpg action ;) I liked Orcs&Elves better, tho it was shorter than DooM RPG
