I've been following the general progress of the Pixel image editor for a few months now. It's a cross-platform (Windows, Linux, BSD, OS/2, and more) Photoshop lookalike. It aims to do everything just like Photoshop, and then improve upon what Photoshop offers. It's in beta right now and it's not open source or free, but it's really cheap. it's $32 if you purchase it now and it will be around $70 when it is officially 1.0.
Anyone using it? I purchased a license. I'm very excited about the program, but I am thinking that it won't usable at a professional level until about version 1.5 or maybe even 2.0.
