No personal xperiences. but i checked a hardware-testing online portal, where it's described as a well-done product for hardware gamers at a very fair price (in germany bout 50 €). They awarded it.

BUY !! 8)

I have one and i'm quite happy with it.. it can be used with both hands (very important as i like the mouse on the left when doing work [shorter way from keyboard to the mouse] and on the right when playing [better control]). It exact, the driver has useful options. No problems so far.

Yeah.. the reviews I've found is also quite positive. I was just wondering weither its old and if there are better alternatives out there now.

The Diamonback has been replaced by the Copperhead, which has a 2000DPI sensor vs the Diamonback's 1600DPI, and uses a laser instead of an LED for optics (laser is slightly better for tracking on odd surfaces such as glass and other similar textures). However, there is a rather large price difference between the Diamondback and the Copperhead, therefore I'd say you get more for your money with the Diamondback.

I have a Diamondback myself as well and am quite fond of it. I only have two complaints... the x64 software is only half-functional (not a problem for normal users of the non-64bit version of windows) and the "dot" indicators on the side buttons irritated my fingers a lot, I ended up shaving them off (simple to do) with a razor blade.

I have never owned a cordless mouse that I liked. They are all quite bulky and heavy. Cords have never bothered me at all, and I have never had to use a cable management system.

The diamondback is a very nice light-weight and compact mouse which is most of the reason I like it. I previously had a Logitech mx510 which was ok, but a bit heavy. I have a Logitech G5 coming soon that I'll be trying out (as it has a weight changing option, though I know no forward button will drive me insane). Sometimes its (mx510/mx518/G5) massive size is slightly annoying, but it is rather ergonimic for a right-hander, so that makes its size slightly less noticeable
