Help with CoD2 zoom/sensivity "script" - Q3 engine

Since it says "General Discussion Post anything on anything here" i guessed i would write in here since i got some problems with my call of duty 2 bind. I found out its running on the Q3 engine but for some reason it doesn't have +vstr but only vstr.

bind mouse2 "vstr zoomer"
seta zoomer "vstr zoomin"
seta zoomout "-speed; sensitivity 5; set zoomer vstr zoomin"
seta zoomin "+speed; sensitivity 3; +holdbreath; set zoomer vstr zoomout"

What i want is a press/release and not press/press script, do anyone have a clue if i can do it without +vstr?

No Q3 script experience at all, but can't you use aliases, like on Q1?

alias +zoomer "+speed; sensitivity 3; +holdbreath"
alias -zoomer "-speed; sensitivity 5; -holdbreath"

Also, where does your zoomer actually zoom? Doesn't it just change sensitivity?

+speed is the zoom cmd. Alias is not supported in the COD2 Q3 engine for some reason, only vstr.
