Postby :) » Tue Feb 27, 2007 2:01 am

These are the 10 greatest movie-films that I have seen. By greatest, I mean that I would recommend them.

Citizen Kane
A Clockwork Orange
Sin City
Kill Bill
Star Wars: A New Hope
2001: A Space Odyssey
Akira
Napoleon Dynamite
Shichinin no samurai
The Godfather: Part II

What are the top ten greatest movie-films, in your opinion?

let's see, they may come out with a wolfenstein movie, that might be good.

I have kill bill, space odyssey, star wars, napoleon dynamite, godfather, and that's about it.

I liked borat, it was funny, but not for you little kiddies...

Top ten films.. Hmm.. I should be an authority here, shouldn't I?

I wont rank them 1 to 10 cause thats not possible, and the genres will be very mixed up, but ten films you should and some point see:

Smala sussie (Slim Susie) (Swe)
Shaun of the dead (UK)
Tetsuo - The iron man (Jap)
Terminator 2 (USA)
Titan A.E (USA) (The film that killed Fox animation studios)
Sin City (USA)
Dr. Strangelove, or: How i stopped worrying and learned to love the bomb (UK)
Lolita (UK) (the new version with Jeremy Irons)
Fifth Element (France)
Army of darkness (USA) /yoou should watch evil dead 2 first though, allthough thats a bit sucky, still ike it though)

10 is a stupid muber.. I can pick my top three here, but 10? I want to liste 15-20 more that is as good as many of these. yeahyeah.. these were from the top of my head,
the spice extend life!
the spice expand conciousness!
the spice is vital to space travel!
sooooo.. tell me what you want, waht you really-really want
I will proceed directly to the intravenous injection of hard drugs, please.

Titan A.E was and is a great movie, but the commercial audience is to hung up on genre conventions, and thereby find it clashing. The story is decent, the effects are cool, and the shameless mix of 3D and 2D is a cool mockery of the genre conventions, allthough it was just the result of a too low budget.

And listing "Ladri di biciclette" (The bicycle thief) now that is just pretencious :)

Yes. Tetsuo is more than a little disturbing. Its a brutal rape of your senses and mind. Thats the point. Try watching it when you are some sense of semi-conciousness.. it might very well change you, and not necessarily in a good way.

Edit: To make this fair (10 is still a stupid number) I'll now list the films that i recommend that I have in my DVD collection, there are more movies, but i cant remember them all. So... Films you should see, in my opinion:

I saw the bicycle thief when I was 11, and I have to say that while I consider myself a pretty manly man, that is the only movie- ever- to have brought me to tears. :|

And I refuse to see Tetsuo: the iron man again. My mind is closed *shudders*

I suggested only listing 10 to encourage unique lists.

I will follow your request, and make a unique list, 10 is a stupid number (still :D), so I'll list my favorite three films:

Tetsuo
Shaun of the dead
Smala Sussie

I higlyrecommend these, and I can easily pic them as my three most favorite films. In my world, there is these 3, then the list i printed earlier that are all about the same queality, depending what you are l\ooking for, then its the rest.

Hmm sorry for the spamming.. its getting late, and I'm getting tired.. I'l shaddap now. But you are entering my field of expertise, so i get carried away :)
