HTML is OFF
BBCode is ON

But nevertheless the forum has problems with this url.. it does not even work with bbcode.. Best thing is to copy the url into the browser. (yeah the !!!!1 is part of the url.. guess thats causing the problems)

Is it really that important though? The Mactel laptops are just rebranded Asus laptops afterall. Why not buy a PC which uses cheaper hardware and install Windows and Linux in a dual boot. With KDE there are so many options available that if you fiddle around with it for hours you can make it look and behave just like a Mac.

You haven't heard of the "because we can" and the "because it's there" principles, have you?

we could talk about it for a long time...
I'm using windows XP, linux and MacOS X...

For "non-geeks users", Mac os X is really easier to use than linux, whatever you can say. I never found any linux distribution which is really "easy" for someone who uses his computer 2 hours a week to do really simple tasks (most of the users in fact).
You buy a mac, plug it, run it, and that's all, it works... I think it's better for most people ;)

And, from a "power-user" point of view, osX is also really a good system... :
- unix architecture (means you have a terminal and "real" tools)
- apache server, python etc are included and installed
- xcode
- really good color management
- active community
- a lotta GPL projects
- X11 environment
- spotlight
... and you don't need to install anything, everything's inside osx.

Man, I'm using computers 14 hours a day to create graphics & videos and sometimes to code... I'm using the 3 systems(XP, mandriva & kubuntu, osX tiger) , and mac os x is for sure the best one.

Whatever you think, just try a mac, it's really a great experience.

And not to be totally out of subject : it would be really great to easily run windows on a mac, in fact it's a "dream" for me :
- you can work with osX
- you can play with windows (there are no more games under linux than under macos i think...)
