Seijiro stuff.

Postby ai » Tue May 08, 2007 8:36 pm

Here is a little soundclip I made, when Seijiro (me) playing Nexuiz CTF. I hope you enjoy it. I made it from one whole CTF match on Facing World. It was about 20 min, but I edited it down to 3.30 min.
And as the topic says, it's "Seijiro" which means it is another voice, or rather, my voice but I pitched it up a bit to make it sound more funny. I think that pitched voice (Seijiro's voice) sounds much funnier than my original.
IMO the further to the end you get the funnier it gets.

NOTE: There is some bad language for the faint hearted. But it's fun :):

This kinda chattiness seems to be typical to native polish players :D

Altmannfurz (aka StaniD) who's sitting besides me when playing together in the lunch break is likely as talkactive as you ai.

However, he's not that creative in finding his words, he's like very monotonically repeating the same crap ("aah, I can't move / I can't hit anybody / I cant play like that / shit / everybody's pwning me here") :P

almost forgot to mention he's polish as well :)

Have you pitched it back to see how it sounds? Cause even I haven't listened to the "raw" material. I don't think I sound so funny.

Sorry, can't. I never saved the raw material. But if you even care to hear how it could sound raw you could pitch it back. I won't do it :) But I'd give you some specs, I pitched it with 63 (about 6 for some programs), so you would want to pitch it to 126 ( and up. I tried it and 145 seemed to be good, it's around 126 (12-13) to 155 (15-16) where it seems to be most accurate. I used Adobe Audition, but I suppose you could use any program that can do those things.
Some programs have the higher number the higher the pitch and others the other way around. But when having the pitched version you just go about twice as much in the opposite direction (to the lower pitch direction :))

Not that I think anyone would want to even try this. I'm not worth your time to be pitched back :P
