Mouse recommendations?

Logitech MX518 is a solid option within your price range. Razer Lachesis is too expensive and for tasteless people. G5 is similar to MX518 but with a bit more bells-and-whistles, and also more expensive. A4Tech X7 mice have a good reputation and are inexpensive. First time I've heard anyone recommend Trust Predator. I'd be suspicious of Trust. As for Logitech MX400, it's only 800 DPI. The others offer considerably more for a similar price. High DPI won't magically increase your skill, but it's still preferable to have it since it makes your mouse more accurate. In other words, law of the diminishing returns applies to it.

Not this topic again. There is no answer. I like SteelSeries Ikari Optical Mouse. Even though mouse 4 and 5 broke after a few months :P I need a new one :(

You can actually move the MX518 at a higher speed than the G5 before it skips. The G5 has a higher DPI however and probably has a quicker response time. The Razer Lachesis is pricy, twitchy, and has a weird unique feel to it and is best used claw-style, but with the back of your palm on the mouse. I was hesitant to get a Trust Predator, but I got a sweet offer in my spam folder to get a Trust Gamer Pack Advanced that included a head set, gaming-grade mouse pad, as well as the Predator all for $20. Overall the Trust Predator is a damn good mouse that I would recommend over the MX518 if you can do without the 5 DPI stages.

Some time ago when I still used the MX518 there was some weird bug in the linux USB drivers, which clogged up the entire USB bus when the MX518 mouse was moved quickly. Now that seems fixed, and I was amazed that you actually *can* move the MX518 faster than the G5 before it skips :O

Then I can recommend both of these, although the horizontal click on the G5 scrollwheel is annoying ;)

I have a Logitech MX518..although i'm not sure i've got the proper driver's installed, maybe that's why my sensitivity switches at time's i'm probably most likely playing with a low dpi setting

however my aim still is good, so it must be good!
