I was watching a movie with a friend just now.. And suddenly we get this sound from the stereo rack. A rally non-good sound.. You know the sound of an electric arc? Combine that with the sound of the mortar, and you get pretty much the sound an exploding discrecte compinent makes. And this was loud.. It was more volume than shorting a regular 230V circuit. The funny thing was that nothing stopped working, so we replayed the soundtrack of the vid so see if it was a sound-effect kinda mispalced.. couldnt find it...
So since the only three things in the rack right now are:
My Haman/Kardon AVR430 reciever
My Self-made ITX PC
and My cheap-ass no-brand DVD player
I naturally assumed, and hoped that this would be a Capacitor in the DVD player's power supply or the like..
But Nooooo!
Two! Of the capacitors on my VIE Epia M6000 exploded.. at the same time! Crap. I need this computer for the easter, and I dont have time to get fixing it now. man!
