Postby Xeno » Sun May 18, 2008 10:23 pm

I've coined a term that describes this:

The idea: a chain is made up of links. Help me bring this term into common usage.

"List of UFO sightings" > "Folklore" > "William Thoms" > "Supercentenarian" > "Guinness World Records" > "Reference work" > "Mathematical table" > "Mathematics" > "Space" > "Theory of relativity"

now you:
"Banana" -> "Tyrannosaurus"
4m [PB] (amoebios)

This is Your world.

Heh, that's fun :D

Banana->United_States->United_States#History->Christopher_Columbus->Atlantic_Ocean->World_Ocean->Superocean->Pangaea->Jurassic->Diplodocus->Dinosaur->Tyrannosaurus
(well Xeno still holds the shortest way so far)

Another challenge:
Nexuiz -> Godzilla in less then 5 chainstops
bleach->aneurysm->straledm5->dieselpower->space-fun->o-fun->runningman->runningman1on1->aggressor(conversion)->soylent->bloodprison->bluesky->ruiner->reslimed->strength

Nexuiz -> 2008 -> Tokyo -> Godzilla

2 or 3 chainstops, depending on how you count :)

Btw, just to make it clear, editing Wikipedia to reach your destination would be cheating, even if the edit itself would be understandable (I mean really, no mention of Godzilla in the entry for "Japan"... WTF?).

Universal Serial Bus > Apple, Inc > iMac G3 > Pangea
(Pangea redirects so counts as one :)
