.mov converter

Postby PHREAK » Sat May 20, 2006 9:13 am

Hey guys, I have a question.
I have found a million and one ways to convert .mov files to anything but not the other way around.
Is there anything out there that will let me do this without buying QuickTime pro? QT pro is really shitty on windows aside from not being worth the money.
Thanks for any info.

Why use Quicktime? It means that anyone else has to have it too. Do it in Ogg Theora.

Yep, why would you need to make a mov?

My MP3 player accepts mov only and the software that comes with it has some issues on my comp. Also, it converts and transferes directly to the device without much user control. It's also slow as hell :)
All my vids are mpeg or MP4 since I record various tv shows (south park, csi, law and order, etc) and I want to be able to watch them on the train or work.
I use the 3gp converter to convert them to watch it on my phone but the battery life of phones is not nearly as good as that of my media device.
I like the 3GP_Converter034 because it's fast and easy to use and creates good quality files for a small screen. Problem is, there are no .mov transcoding ini files that I could find.

Anyway, I'll check out Bink.
