Though I don't know if the SourceForge servers support these download accelerators...

In the directory, you're downloading right now, there are Linux, MacOS and Windows binaries. All in the same folder.

See, we're here to help, and won't harm anybody with trojans, viruses, or whatever :)
Also, let this be a lesson for you: you have to learn to manage your temper a bit more, and try to think before you do anything on the internet, wether it's a link to click on, or any word you say. What you've done to the wikipedia page was wandalism, and a not nice way to grab attention. At least you've contacted us here on the forum too, so we could help you so you could solve your problem.
If I'm correct, I've seen several times you've said "freeware" sites. I'd NEVER EVER visit a site like that, for two reasons: they might have an outdated version of that program (like in this case - or if I see right, Ubuntu repo hardy heron has 2.4.1, not 2.4.2), and it's not an authentic, original source, you I can never be sure what extra present they have packed with the stuff ;)
Also, Nexuiz is not freeware, it's _open source_ . Not the same :) In any case, you see an open source program, and you run in trouble, be sure to contact the developers first, before doing anything else. They always have the right answere for you, and most probably they'll try to help you.

For the rest of the commenters:
Like I've said, I've so much disappinted by the behaviour of some of you. Nexuiz is not just famous for it's fancy graphics, and all of that, but for the MOST WELL MANNERED, HELPFUL AND FRIENDLY COMMUNITY AROUND!

divVerent wrote:Actually, I remember something. Nexuiz 2.3 was indeed flagged as a possible trojan by some antivirus. The cause however was laughable: it was TGA files with a very high compression ratio in the .pk3. The antivirus thought Nexuiz was an attack on virus scanners like 42.zip (see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Decompression_bomb), but all it really was was a mostly black TGA file and 7zip compressing it well.

But this has been fixed, by RLE compressing the TGAs that (in that case in the past) ClamAV reported, so RLE does part of the compression and zip doesn't do such a high compression ratio. In any case, a clear example of stupid heuristics.

As you can plainly see fronten its not an opinion but a fact and call me a piece of crap all you want but human never!

"Nexuiz has a trojan" is not a FACT then. "AVG misdetects Nexuiz as a trojan" may be one, although this is not verified for AVG, but ClamAV, and already fixed.

The problem is that detecting "zip bombs" is very dodgy. But zip bombs are, even if there is one, ONLY harming virus scanners, NEVER destroying any data, crashing computers, etc.
1. Open Notepad
2. Paste: ÿþMSMSMS
3. Save
4. Open the file in Notepad again

You can vary the number of "MS", so you can clearly see it's MS which is causing it.
