
So the results of my afternoon brainstorming, insipred by some energy drink

1, make a cvar for nex to enable shooting through walls, so server admins can decide wether to add this feature to the owned server to make some gameplay changes (this feature would kill static camping on the most known camping spots)
2, there are 10 choosable message / name colors, 2 of them are gray. and the difference between them is not too much. I miss orange or brown from this list more than I would want to use 2 different gray colors

3, create a simple interface that lists all the demo files you recorded, and you can choose the corrent one you want to play. I think demo recording worths a simple and easy interface so players dont have to fire up the command line everytime they want to watch something. And maybe there should be "play" "pause" "fast forward" buttons at the bottom of the screen while demo is being played, but this solution might be harder to code (dont know how the capturing works)
4, when player presses the teamspeak hotkey for "attacking" or "defending", it would help fantastically to keep the organization within the team if it would be displayed on the score screen too. Just place a small box near the players name that gets filled with "A" or "D" depending on bind the player pressed. This way everyone could see that there is no defence in the team coz all the guys are rushing, or the oppsite. I'm sure this feature would be easy to code....

5, make the teleports let them through not just the body of the players but grenades, rockets and other entities too. This feature would surely create the funniest game situations ^^
6, to avoid constant flagcarrier hidings and to roll up gameplay there should be a sprite placed on the enemys flagcarriers current location after every 15th second for 1 second long (or something like that). I'm sure everyone knows the unfindable flagcarrier story on the map "accident" hiding behind the game area, or the same on hourglass. This would make matches a little more fluid.
7, do something with hagars secondary plzzzzzz!!!


8, give laser secondary a loadable feature, so players can charge it up to a maximum rocket-like shot after 6-7 second. The current secondary "shot" isnt a secondary shot...

9, add a scope-like effect for nex's right click zoom on the purpose to make newbies camp less on maps by reducing the visibity field this way. (you dont see anything around the scope's "circle"). I know nex doesnt want to be a sniper rifle (eventhough its new model makes it quite similar

10, I know its not UT, but a "first blood" sound would be awesome

Okey thats it for today, I wait for you opinions about these ideas, i hope they would turn the gameplay into a more positive direction
