Computers suck.

My grandpa installed Kaspersky on his iMac, because it was recommended and now it takes ages to boot or load anything.
My parents' printer chokes at random when they try to print something in Windows XP.
And me? i can't get Nexuiz to run in linux on my laptop.

Why?

RealWorld has a very nice free cursor editor. It's for Windows.
Mac has impressive animations and cool gimmicks. The little lamp on my sister's MacBook pulses when in stand-by mode. It looks like a heartbeat or like it's breathing!
And linux can be anything you want - if you have the skills, patience, time and if the hardware supports it.

It makes me wanna cry. i would if i could. Did you know there are several types of tears? Some of them contain opiate-like substances!

Why, WHY would you ever install Kaspersky on a MAC?! That shit is grade-F bloatware. Whoever told him he needed to do that should be smacked.

Antivirus software is good if an idiot is using the computer. Note that current antiviruses do more than just detect downloads of Windows viruses.

Notable is E-Mail scanning. Some antiviruses also remove known phishing mails and such stuff from the inbox, by redirecting POP3 access to itself.

I suggest that Kaspersky's on-line file scanning shall get disabled, as it is useless - well, who writes viruses for a Mac anyway? But its E-Mail scanning should stay enabled, to protect Grandpa at least from SOME E-Mail scams.
