While I was browsing the internet in the garden, I've suddenly heared a strange, yet very familiar noise. I've immediately stood up from my chair, with a smile on my face - I know this snorting, scraping noise very well...

Gues what...

A HEDGEHOG! :D

There it is:

Fun times.

My friend had a pet hedgehog, apparently the damn thing was so stupid it would repeatedly shit all over its self. She gave the messy wee bugger away to some poor sod.

Out of curiousity, C.Brutail, could you touch this thing or would it try to bite?

Hedgehogs are very timid creatures - I've never heared that anybody got bitten by them. When attacked, they rather try to either run away, or when they are stuck in a corner, try to frighten their enemies with growling/snorting sounds.
If this fails, they roll into a spiky ball :)

If you move your hand from the head to the butt, following the spikes they won't sting so you can stroke the hedgy :) But washing your hand afterwards is strongly recommended, these little fellas carry a lot kind of parasites withing their spiky fur :(
Once I've found a tick as large as a pea inside a poor hedgehog. I couldn't pull it out, it was too deep within it's spikes.
