German ban proposition of violent games.

What would this have for impact on Nexuiz if it passes?

I think MikeeUSA got his views entirely independent of Nexuiz. Got to make sure that when Alientrap's offices get raided we can document that MikeeUSA was weird long before he came here.

That's fked up. I'm living proof that videogames DO NOT turn you into a psycho-path. I've been playing all the "Violent" not much later than when I first started playing videogames (at the age of three). When I was as young four or five I was already playing Mortal Kombat, and have toyed around with Wolfenstein 3D. Shortly after the release of the original PlayStation I was playing games like Loaded (top down ultra violent massacre from the guys that did Kill Thrill) and Doom just to name a few. What's really crazy is that I saw a chart a while back that actually showed violent crimes decline as violent videogames became more common. If a videogame some how influences somebody to do something stupid, it's because they were already fked up to begin with. If anything I've seen games such as Grand Theft Auto and Unreal Tournament save somebody from getting what they deserved because the person they pissed off had let most of their aggression out in-game.
I have left this website with the rest of the GPL Nexuiz community. You can find us at Xonotic.org

How is the game even "based" in Germany today? Are the servers located there?

Yes indeed, I for one, commit acts of violence everyday in Düsseldorf. This keeps me from going "postal", afk.
So, me + laser, on occasion a "surprise mortar", here and there, in beginners = good for society as a whole.

I was thinking more like, the site where Nexuiz is hosted. Seems like it's hosted in the US though.
