20000:1 is dynamic contrast. the screen lower the backlite in some situation. not real contrast at same backlite intensity.

I read closer and saw "dynamic contrast" written rigjt under the 20000:1. Sneaky sneaky.

Dunno, overall I'm happy with my monitors, minus the one that I need to turn off via it's powersupply sometimes. I have the same ones at work which have held up strong and deliver what I need, how I need it, when I need it :)

All that matters is if you're happy with a setup I guess, people have different computer needs after all.

No, it's the official monitor complaint thread.

My goddamn monitor is too bright at 0% luminosity, the colors give me a headache, and I can't make adjust saturation, even through the driver.

There's no set standard for measuring contrast ratio, so you can't compare them :P

They are real numbers. They can be compared using the usual binary relations we all know :p

It just makes no sense. Besides showing off big numbers. Who doesn't like big numbers, eh.
