20000:1 is dynamic contrast. the screen lower the backlite in some situation. not real contrast at same backlite intensity.

Dunno, overall I'm happy with my monitors, minus the one that I need to turn off via it's powersupply sometimes. I have the same ones at work which have held up strong and deliver what I need, how I need it, when I need it

All that matters is if you're happy with a setup I guess, people have different computer needs after all.

My goddamn monitor is too bright at 0% luminosity, the colors give me a headache, and I can't make adjust saturation, even through the driver.

There's no set standard for measuring contrast ratio, so you can't compare them

It just makes no sense. Besides showing off big numbers. Who doesn't like big numbers, eh.
