Purple Alien Game?

There used to be this computer game I played when I was kid. I can't for the life of me remember the name of the game. It involved a purple alien and three kids getting sent to different time periods - the past, the present and the future. They had to find clues in each of their worlds to get out. I remember one of the clues being hidden in a grandfather clock. Does this sound familiar to anyone else?
