I got up there late on Thrusday so i went to bed almost right away.
Friday "morning" i started checking out the damage, the damage was not that bad on the cabin it self, but the porch was in bad state. Also i could not get to the wall to treat it properly so i just had to pull the rest of the porch down:

I started sorting the materials. The stuff that could be used, i kept, but the other i just started burning, its too far to carry it down, and it was to wet and rotten to be used as proper firewood, so i made myself a nice bondfire there:

I started hearing bells. I though it was a huge flock of sheep, cause there were so many bells, and only a few of the sheep has bells. But when the sound got closer i realized the sound was wrong, that had to be a cowbell, and sure enough:

The the rest of the family came tagging along.. Not very frightened either it seems:

Then the funniest thing.. They started acting curious about the fire. Allthough a little reserved:

Finally they realized that this was nothing to be afraid of, most animals fear fire, but not the NRF (Norwegian red cattle) it seems.
As the night grew colder and colder they realized this was a good place to keep warm, so there I was. Trying to get work down, but surrounded by some 20 cows that would not leave for several hours.

Yeah.. they shat the place down, but thats just good fertilizer

So how was your weekend?
