Yeah! Cool! Great! Finally a update, i was a little bit concerned that warsow would overcome you with new feauters, but this 2.4 is from what i have seen just awesome! Major update. Though i should test the performance optimization as 2.3 was laggy on my e6550 and 8800GT on max settings.
What you realy stand in front of other projects is BlooD:D

The demo browser has gone, hasn't it? :(

nexuiz 2.4 is MUCH faster here, i can nearly play with everything on max. perhaps it's simply the ati opengl driver that has a problem. Did you try the sdl and th glx version (there should be two different exe files)? (don't know if it makes any difference)

I tried the sdl version because the main one kept on crashing when trying to load the game, when I'm playing and looking at the wall the game runs normally but when I look at the action it's running slow and getting stuck.

You have to admit that your rig is a little weak. I don't think you can run any Nexuiz release from 1.5 up with settings from the menue. However, it should be possible to tweak it by generating some settings to be found here for example:

good luck

The crash is known, http://forums.alientrap.local/viewtopic.php?t=2824 should fix it. Try extracting that over your Nexuiz install, and post if that worked.

Please note that this hotfix is preliminary - it may change without notice. Do not put that on download sites.

*edit - esteel* exchanged hotfix link with forum topic
1. Open Notepad
2. Paste: ÿþMSMSMS
3. Save
4. Open the file in Notepad again

You can vary the number of "MS", so you can clearly see it's MS which is causing it.

Actually I'm able to play most of the new games, even Call of Duty 2 runs smoothly.

Oh and the hotfix is working as a charm :), thanks

I'd missed this. Perhaps this deserves a thread on how to set up?
