2.4 runs fine.
As others noted DON'T ! Usually linux distributors slightly change the filelayout compared to the 'pure' zip file from alientrap so its a bit difficult to find the right files to replace.. Better download the 2.4.2 full download and extract it to /usr/local/games and then just start either the nexuiz-linux-sdl.sh or the nexuiz-linux-glx.sh or add them to your menu or desktop..)

Does anywan manage a crylink bound frag ?
Does the crylink lose any damage after 1 bound ?
I managed a few frags already, the new crylink is rather strong and no it does not loose power after the bounce. In face the bounce splash causes some splash damage already so if you manage to bounce right before your victims feets and also hit him after the bounce its the most powerful attack you can manage with the crylink.
Well if you are using the patch you have to copy it over your old installation (or extract over/into) as it will be missing some files otherwise.. Thats why i asked if you use the patch.
However you never really answered that question. The only other idea i have is to play around with the 'Vertex Buffer Objects' in the Settings/Video menu and see if that helps (do not forget to press apply)
Sorry DivVerent already asked you to try gl_vbo 0 .. basicly thats disabling VBO's.. in thats case forget this advice
