I made an Ubuntu 8.10 Intrepid debian package of NetRadiant 1.5 svn 249.

I have no idea about compiling on a 64 bit cpu.

I just wanted to express my gratitude to the devs and the community for a great game :D

"Needless" to say, I love 2.5! :D
How smooth the game feel and the extra aircontrol with the new physics.

Yeah, that would be a great idea to have a torrent link on the download page or, maybe even on the frontpage directly under the "Mirrors" link?

Btw, the .deb's are out on http://www.getdeb.net/app/Nexuiz !

Hello

I have a bittorrent tracker setup, that is dedicated to free games like yours.
it is located at: http://tracker.tuxtrack.org/rivettracker/

I will help seed the game as well at least for the time being. (this might change however depending on how much bandwidth the tracker itself will need).

Nexuiz 2.5 torrent is located here http://tracker.tuxtrack.org/rivettracker/torrents/Nexuiz%202.5%20-%20%28Linux-Mac-Windows%29.torrent

Nexuiz 35 Map Pack is located here: http://tracker.tuxtrack.org/rivettracker/torrents/Nexuiz%2035%20Map%20Pack%20-%20%28Linux%2C%20Mac%2C%20Windows%29.torrent

(if wanting to make a direct link)

Game On!!!!!!

p.s: I sent this a few days ago via email as well to the team addy, but I am not sure you guys got it. So took the liberty of posting it here as well. ( plus, I am curious to how much my tracker can actually handle  )

Let me know please if you encounter any problems with the tracker :o

I talked to kojn yesterday, to me he said he got improvements from 2.5 (though he got some losses with the beta version that was released)

I guess people that really get less fps should try to disable the use of lightmaps.. those got redone and are much bigger now (creating much cripser and clearer static shadows!)

For me performance abt the same in 2.4.2 and 2.5. slightly less in 2.5 with same gfx settings, but with all the new higher quality content that's no surprise.

Also to keep in mind: beta / demo release are usually debug builds. These can be significantly slower then release, specially for local games (in my experience).
HOF:
<Diablo> the nex is a "game modification"
<Diablo> quake1 never had a weapon like that.
<Vordreller> there was no need for anything over 4GB untill Vista came along
<Samua>]Idea: Fix it? :D
<Samua>Lies, that only applies to other people.

Can you believe it? I didn't even have time to as much as download 2.5 up to now. Darn real life keeps getting in my way! Though I guess it's always good to have that real life around... never mind. Anyway, I would like say thank you to all of you that made this game what it is, as I loved the SVN version already. Great job, and thank you for your precious spare time!

Oh, and I like the new forum theme. 8)
