As of right now, what do you THINK the system specs will be?

Personal guess would be Nex-esque, since it's using the same engine. Models might be of a higher polycount (though it's doubtful, as the current Nex models are admitted by the team to be not as maximized as they could be for effeciency given how they look, so the poly count might be just as high for a high-quality model that's made effeciently). I think all of the technology (deluxe maps, bloom, hdr, et al) will all be the same.

This is in regard to Nex2.0, though. I think the last officialy Zymotic news came out before 2.0 and all of the deluxemapping, so they might have been thinking that it'd require higher specs, but now that 2.0 is out with all the new eye candy, I'm assuming they're on the same (or at least a similar) level.

I'd like to hear what the Zymotic devs have to say about this, of course :)

I really hope the Zymotic models will NOT be as highpoly as the Nexuiz ones.. Its kinda like a bug in Nexuiz. The models in Nexuiz are very old, they were one of the first assets. With modern techniques they could be reduced in polycount and still look better then right now. That would make the whole game a lot faster. But other then that yes Zymotic should run as good or bad as Nexuiz does. But i think the zymotic levels might be easier on the engine so it might be a bit faster..

I think Zymotic will run the same speed as Nexuiz 2.0
The character models are much lower poly, all under 1k currently, and the weapons/map models will all be fairly low also. In Zymotic however, there will be a LOT more enemies on screen that anything I've seen in Nexuiz.
I think the maps will just use deluxemaps like Nexuiz, but I think I'll place realtime lights in levels and have them on by default. When it comes to map detail, I am not really sure, by the end of development I think they will be a bit higher poly than Nex maps.

If there is anything else that will slow the game down, it will for sure be optional.

What about pixel shaders and stuff you could increase system requirements because Zymotic unlike nexuiz focuses on SP and COOP You must have noticed that the graphic cards, RAM and CPU's (by the time when Zymotic will be finished) will be as strong as 128 at least on graphic, 512 to 1G on RAM and at least 1.8 Ghz or even more!

Any gamepad support!?

The engine has joystick support but i'm not sure its worth to add menu support for that.. but it should be doable..
