Great AI, I've been waiting for this :D

I think it would be nice to put these content in a single document so it can be distributed easily

I suggest to add this link collection to the OUNS wiki as well, if that was not already done.

Hmm, there's some nice stuff in there. I'm gonna steal some of those ideas and links
Just keep in mind that I created this thread to make it simple and easy and most importantly, relevant. When on different forums there's almost some kind of thread with tons and tons of links to various sites for tutorials and such. Some of which may not work, some of which are unnecessary (cause another tutorial brought that up or is completely irrelevant) and so on. Such things scare me away more than help me. I personally would rather google myself the stuff I want to learn than browsing each promising link.

So it's not so important to have this thread filled up with tons of link, but only fill up with the most relevant ones.

Learn Blander3D from scratch with a focus on games. You learn modeling, texturing, baking etc. A great site if you just can't get your mind 3d blended. :D

So im starting to learn blender . and i am wondering how to export to ase , md3 . i see in the export menu in blender the options for obj and md2, and .map .

Also what is best for nexuiz as far as exporting formats go ? do large items run better under one format than smaller ones ( terrain vs lamp ) ?

oh and if you have any tips to give concerning blender to nexuiz it would be great

All the exporters and importers in blender are just python scripts which reside in your scripts directory (location depends on installation settings).
Get the scripts you need for blender:
http://toolz.nexuizninjaz.com/modeling/ishan/justscripts.zip
use "update menus" in a scripts frame to make them visible or just download the whole deal
http://toolz.nexuizninjaz.com/modeling/ishan/NexuizBlender.zip

This will give you md3 import&export, md5 import&export, zmodel compatible smd import&export, zym import, ase import&export and a script to help export nexuiz guns.

My advice is to check out the video tutorials. Blender is incredibly unintuitive. Also, experiment with the quake map exporter. It is probably the best way to do terrain.

Thank you , i knew there was something i needed to add in blender . currently I'm wrapping up Iamar's level 1 tut . and would like to experiment with what ive made so far by importing them into nexuiz . ok well back to studying.

edit: SCRIPTS : fyi for any one trying to find scripts folder in windows , aaaand if you installed blender without changing anything . C:\documents settings\<name>\app data\blender foundation\blender\.blender is where you add scripts and themes . it took me a while to figure this out . so here is a reference for future users .
