  • well here's a test clip (using laptop) of nexuiz with my high detail cfg not sure if all effects worked or not, and some bits looked borked imo but have a look.

    http://files.filefront.com//;6236311;;/

This is my first test clip in premier pro 2.0 of morfar from pc-max tournament.

oh and it's nice and smooth, 50fps xvid. not best quality but its easily watchable :)

ive got frame blending not sure if i want this in final...green how do you dis-enable in premier pro? i have to slow down my clips thats when it happens as they play to fast at 100% :)

  • Why not use DarkPlaces' integrated AVI recording?

We will release Nexuiz 2.2 soon, which will feature this engine change - DP will then be able to record into (uncompressed though) AVI files. You can encode them using applications like mencoder, Virtual Dub and of course load them into "real" video editing programs.
    1. Open Notepad
    2. Paste: ÿþMSMSMS
    3. Save
    4. Open the file in Notepad again

You can vary the number of "MS", so you can clearly see it's MS which is causing it.

  • I don't like the settings you used in Nexuiz. The movie is detailed enough with 800x600 and plays smoothly with 50 fps, however, the settings are not good and let the movie look bad.

    Things I would change:
    - The scene is completely blurred ("Bloom"). Either reduce it a lot or even disable it totally
    - Scene is too dark, record it brighter please
    - maybe up the fov by 10 points (from 90 to 100)

I wouldn't. FOV is only more useful for if you want to increase your view. If you want to make something look realistic don't do it. You can safely decrease FOV and it will still look correct but increasing it makes it look incorrect.

  • blurryness was due to motion blur, that has been disabled now.

fov 90 is standard, it is not going to be changed.

it is not too dark, although the colours and brightness need fixing to give better contrast.

I have 110 and I think it is very realistic, it actually more realistic IMO cause 90 is like less than 180 degree's. While with a bit higher you get the actual "eye" view.

No, this is not the bluriness I ment. The bluriness I mean is because of one of these settings:
    - r_bloom 1 (should be 0)
    - r_hdr_glowintensity > 0 (should be 0) (if r_hdr is set to 1)
