What about including different dedicated server config files with the 1.5.1 distro. Like:

server_dm.cfg
server_dom.cfg
server_ctf.cfg
server_rune.cfg
server_all.cfg
server_lms.cfg

With the basic server settings.

As the only difference in those files is the maplist i would just put it in one file but comment those lines out. Similar to my server guide in the forum. This file will need to be edited by the server admin anyways for things like the maxplayers, server name, motd, remote admin password. So including them in one line minimizes the changes necessary..
There is a link to my server guide in the FAQ shipped with 1.5.1. It just feels easier to change those posts then to change the config file for each release. How do you feel if i add those files in that thread? I have planned to do so.. maybe have a download for each of the server types (win, lin, mac)

I still think it would be good to include at least one file with the distro. That can make it easier to convince ISP and the like to host a server. I hardly think any ISP would go through the effort of reading the forum for server tweaks.

You forgot the new 1.5 maps in the maplist (18 18remiix and extra2)
Creating a www.nexuiz.com/serversetup or similar with redirect to current interesting info would look better.

Meh i forget the change the skill level for the bots. 10 was ok for the first bots IMO. It needs to be adjusted for the current bots however. And the nexuiz default model was choosed because its also the default forced model in Nexuiz. Who ever created this setting must have liked the Nexus

yeah, i seen that directory and i just dont get it howto add new maps on the server, that .mapcfg thingy??? ..i just want to add more maps..how hard can it be ?..hard enuf i guess

I do not understand your problem to add new maps.. all you have to do is to download them, put the pk3 files into Nexuiz/data and add the right mapnames to g_maplist in you server.cfg.
I really had hoped that good enough explained in Nexuiz/Docs/server and also in this thread here in the forum: http://forums.alientrap.local/viewtopic.php?t=18
