For no reason that I can guess, the Deathmatch server in New York has been pretty full recently.
Usually it is empty, or having very few players.
This is good, but strange. A strange goodness.

Very, very good. This is the only server where I can get <50 ping. I think that most people join the fullest servers, not the ones with teh lowest ping, so once it appears at the top of the list (sorted by players), it is self perpetuating. Like herforst.

Maybe because the mikeeusa server is not configured as it used to be (which always showed as 6/16 players in the server browser, all six being bots, which annoyed players)? That is, maybe now US players concentrate on a GOOD server (and no longer enter the 6/16 US server, see "just bots" and go away)?

I've gotten alot of people on my CTF server, which is good. It's only been up for a month or two BTW

Most people don't know this but if you type in your name in the find box, you can copy and paste that URL into a link and it will jump to your name next time you or anyone clicks it.

It's one of only two servers that have acceptable ping for me. I just wish it used some more maps; seems like it's always on Aneurysm.

Glad the server is finally seeing some good use! The server rotates through all standard Deathmatch maps in alphabetical order. I may change it to random order and change the fraglimit sometime soon though, we'll see, feel free to post ideas here.

As of this evening, I have also put up a mixed gametype server also located in NY, it runs with 4 bots which remove themselves as players join (as the other server does), the reason for having 4 bots is to keep things even as there are team based modes. Right now the server is randomly switching between Minstagib, Domination, LMS, Nixnex, Runematch, TDM, and CTF which should add a little flavor and variation to the standard server. Hopefully it doesn't cause too much of a split.
