I don't have the best connection in the world or the best computer, and I occassionally get some choppy playing. But...If someone is any good with a machine gun and they get somewhere near me....I pretty much just die because I can't move. It shakes the crap out of my screen and there's a big delay if I click jump or fire so I'm basically just stuck. If we both have a machinegun, then I usually lose because I can't move and they can.

Is this what the machinegun is supposed to do or is it just my computer/connection sucking?

I try to do the machine gun freeze to other players and it only works some of the time. I see some of them jumping around and moving as I'm shooting them with the gun.

This is yet another one of those "How do they do that?" moments in Nexuiz. Can someone clue me in on how the machinegun is supposed to work? Is it supposed to freeze people?

Is this some mod I dont know about? Machine gun doesnt freeze people when I play... maybe you have connection problems..

No the machinegun is not supposed to freeze anyone. Well you can disable the view kick when being hit, that can be really annoying (v_kicktime 0). But i have no idea about the freezing right now, maybe its indeed your connection.

Esteel, I tried that setting and it helps. It feels like a cheat though, that I can disable some negatve effects of some of the weapons.
