    IMPORTANT!!!

    THIS IS AN ALPHA VERSION OF A NEW CTF MAP, NOT FOR REAL PLAY!!!

    Fortress Resurrection aka cb_ctf4

    This is (I hope) the last alpha release of this map, the next will be the first,
    actual playable beta. I still have loads of little texture alignment problems,
    that's the couse of the delay.
    Things I've changed since alpha03:

    -doors are triggered now earlier, more fluent gameplay
    -Sless gave me an idea, so I've opened another underwater way into the base
    -added some more weapons
    -you can crush yourself now with the lift
    -finished all the ligths
    -added some more eye candy
    -added more trickjump hotspots
    -created menu entry for the map
    -the map has now music :)

    The music under the map is called "Dreamer", and it's composed and kindly made GPL-ed by Wastelander,
    big thx to him.

    There are plenty of trickjumping hotspots all around the map, so I made a little demo to show them.
    To watch the demo, pull down console (shift+esc), and type in:

    All the media and the map geometry is released under the GNU GENERAL PUBLIC LICENSE Version 2.

  • Im not sure Im a fan of the color scheme (standard Nexuiz fare though), but I definitly like the way the map plays :D Great work :wink:

  • I like the map layout so far

    demo is broken (20 bytes in size)

    There are still too few weapons/items, I assume there will come more ? :)

    and btw, where was the flag supposed to be ? I found out where you gonna mirror the map, but where will the flag be?

    The flags will be in the largest rooms, where you can see red spotlights looking on the platform, and there's a small pedestal too... looks like a right place for a flag ;)

  • oh, I like that drawing of the flag a LOT ;)

    can you take that one and make a model out of it ;) and use it please ?

  • Eew you really want to put it there? Ok thanks to splash-through-walls it will be hard to escape by laserjumping up again but will that will stay forever?
    On the other side i'd be more tempting to jump down into the water tunnel.. or fight to get (back) the jump up to the quad or out of the doors. From the beginning on i thought that would become the flag point so i did not get that clue with that little pedestal :) 8)
