Every server I play on, no matter where I go, I always open a can of WhoopAss(tm) and win. I love the new surge in players, but where are the really good players? I like having a challenge and playing better players than myself! I am in the midwest USA and I usually play on the Tech server or the Standard Nexuiz DM (NY) server. Any suggestions??

well its definitly worth to take a look at the Nexuiz ladder ( http://planetnexuiz.com/ladder/index.php?p=News ) or come to irc #nexuiz or #nexuiz.ladder at irc.quakenet.org there you will find guys willing to play and that should be better then joe average

Well if you win all the time over there in the US then maybe you are the best But as of how you'd play against players in Europe or Asia no one can tell. In Europe there are some very good players like morf, kojn, esteel, green marine, dim and some more. I have no idea about Asia. But I bet there are lots of good players there too.
I for instance never play on US servers, too much ping for my taste. I admire those people who play from US on European servers and still win.. And there are some.

Pillars are a community which plays many games. I only joined pillars cause I wanted to be on the Nexuiz squad. But because we didn't play many matches (there was no clans by that time) they took us away. And I also didn't want to be in pillars anyway
Random is just a goof team which just so happen to have good players

I consider myself pretty good but not the best

Hmm so to find the better players I need IRC I hate IRC clients, they are really confusing. Are there any online IRC programs?

Opera you need no quakenet account and its only needs secounds to get it

There's a plugin for Firefox, ChatZilla which you can get. And as for quakenet goes, you never needed an account for it, but you can create one if one would wish.

I'm a pretty awsome laser jumper, but that's about it.

gaim does - besides ICQ, MSN, Jabber and many more - IRC, too.

I think it's great - especially the OTR-Plugin

I do the same thing EVERY server I go one im 20 kills winning while others have what like 3,4, 5 kills? wtf lol and I play both those servers you listed.. my xfire is shac0nbac0n im only on during weekends lets do 1 on 1 iv been undefeated in 1 on 1 matches.

it depends on WHEN you play and considering most players are located in Europe (Germany alone covers about one third!) you should synchronise your play accordingly.

I have to say, I'm usually in the top 3 when I'm pubbing, but in one-on-one I definitely do worse. I will admit there are better players then me though.

Try to organise a 1on1 with any of Random. They are imho the best.

Thanks I'll look into ChatZilla... I use firefox. Funny someone mentioned doing good in pubs but bad on 1on1s.. I have found there are some players who have torn me up with a ton of people playing, but when I play them 1on1 or with only like 1 other person, I tear them up!

I think it's easy to get an over-inflated view of how good you are. I play from New Zealand on the NY servers and I frequently am at the top of the rankings despite 220-250 ping. So I get all chuffed and think, "Wow, I'm teh l33t." And then some random guy joins and starts owning me, and I'm like, "D:"

I should probably change my server's hostname to something that would attract the pro players...
