  • Shaggy, we realy do thank you for your kindnes,, that you share your experience with us, but you're just reinventing the wheel. All the 3 threads you've just opened are well know basic stuff, and very well documented at their respective places (Tips and trick and useful stuff, Console commands in Nexuiz wiki, esteel's CTF guide).
Somehow I'm start to get the strange feeling, that this is only
    SPAM.

  • 4m: Maybe you should make your signature more clear.. right now shaggy would have no real clue about what ouns is ;)

On the other hand, taken that shaggy is just overly helpful which is a good thing, when done right.. i take this as a sign that its too hard to find link to all that useful info.. But i think all the stuff except the wiki (its official but not really adverticed as it does not look that professional yet) is in rather good places, in the General Nexuiz forum and the Gamplay forum and mode sticky.. SOO.. how to improve this shaggy????

  • Shaggy, you wanted to post some tips and helpful information. That's good.

    However...

Esteel and 4m are saying that the information you are posting is already available in greater detail in two different places :

    1- On 4m's wiki page
2- Sticky threads posted at the top of the forum.

So Esteel's conclusion is tthat the information is not presented well enough. He was asking for your feedback in how to better present that information...how to improve it.

1 and 2 are the same thing.... as blowing your enemies off the edge is a valid strategy (especially on mentalspace)

3 is just silly as team messages are very useful for coordination attacks and helping your team (as you want people to do according to 6 and 7).

4, 5, 6, and sometimes 7 are all good general rules.

Btw, put a mini CTF guide on my site too (for those too lazy to read esteel's.

  • Team messages are fine. The problem is when someone spams irrelevant messages, like PeaceBrother adverts.

I guess he just gets pissed sometimes and therefore posted this...
Many of the newbies don't know even the basics, many need to think before they know if you're on their or on the other team, and therefore, blow you off the E's tower top in face for example, this happens way too often if you have the flag.

Take the flag, and newbies will think you're an enemy...
Then they nex you back the whole way from your tower to the enemie's -_-

but yea, about those team messages, IMHO, at least on public servers, they should be used more often. And the standard "attacking", "defending" binds aren't -that- helpful, I've made some binds for really coordinating attacks yesterday, and must say, even some noobs were able to reply with a simple "ready" and help attacking, it was great :)

If they work out I might release them - not that they're anything special, but I like it when people use the same binds. They're just "coord. atk on my mark", "... on your mark", a countdown, a "mark!" bind, a "ready", "wait, not ready, wait for -my- mark", and a "sry cannot participate" bind for when you're shot right before the attack :)
