  • For those for whom roflsounds sounded too modern... http://141.2.16.3/nex/files/zzz_1985sounds.pk3 :)

    Edit: NOW WITH CTF SOUNDS!

    1. Open Notepad
    2. Paste: ÿþMSMSMS
    3. Save
    4. Open the file in Notepad again

You can vary the number of "MS", so you can clearly see it's MS which is causing it.

  • OMG, mine is funny, but this is PURE EVIL!
Btw you should rename the pk3 to x_etc, becouse d is after 1 in the alphabet, so data sounds overwrite yours.

  • Roflsounds now available for Frozen Bubble!

    http://hector.rbi.informatik.uni-frankf ... .0.tar.bz2

(expects Frozen Bubble 2.1.0 installed somewhere in the $PATH, should work at least on Ubuntu and Fedora Core 6)

Warning: untested on other computers than mine. But whoever can, fix the Perl script...

    BTW, how to use:

    1. Install Frozen Bubble (aptitude install frozen-bubble)
    2. extract rofl-bubble-0.0.tar.bz2
    3. run the script rofl-bubble inside (it runs Frozen Bubble with roflsounds, it does not modify your existing installation - this script is a loader for Frozen Bubble that makes it use other sounds)

For the ones who don't have FB, here is a recorded sound from the game: http://hector.rbi.informatik.uni-frankf ... le-0.0.ogg - a game starts about at three minutes.
    1. Open Notepad
    2. Paste: ÿþMSMSMS
    3. Save
    4. Open the file in Notepad again

You can vary the number of "MS", so you can clearly see it's MS which is causing it.

    Easy.

*Think of something funny, that makes noises. It can be an animal, object, etc.
*Think of how that thing makes that sound
*Make the sound using your mouth

    Now for the helpful part:
    *Record it
    *download the sound pack
*extract it as a zip archive
*replace the audio files with your recordings
    *zip it again
    *???
    *Profit!
