After I heard 2.3 was released, I came to download it.

Now, I found the Nexuiz even more exciting than ever! (Not that I have played it much lately, most of the time I spent in 1.0 - 1.2 era, heck, it was over 2 years ago! )

Well, anyway, I think I have a possibility to run a dedicated Nexuiz server from Finland.

If there is any need for a server, on a 1024/512Kbps connection for Nordic people, let me know.

Server specs are as follow:
Athlon 64 X2 3600+ (@ 2.75GHz)
512MB of DDR2 (Later 1GB, then 2GB)

The connection is currently only 1/0.5 Mbps, BUT, it will be upgraded to 8/1, and later to 24/1.

Server would be running about 24/7, 90% of the time, on a System with Ubuntu 7.04 installed. Sure the server is doing other tasks aswell, as this is my primary computer, but I believe that they are not much of a issue.

I haven't been much into Nexuiz lately, but I will surely be more active after 2.3. Thus, I apologize if this thread is in wrong section, or if the thread is totally pointless - I don't know, I am a (old)newbie here.

Hey.. Sure thing servers never hurt and give people oppurtunity to play. So bloody yes we can use a nordic server
Should also help fellow players near you to feel more at home when looking at the server list ..

Well, I haven't really seen much low-pinging servers, lowest of them give me around 50-70 ping, probably located in Central-Europe.

I will give it a try for a week or two.

Will post further details later.

well 50-70 is VERY WELL playable.. but i guess a 'local' server will help for nordic players..

hmmm arent there some nordig server? M) but sure.. more servers aare always good. Then i wont have to play on sxens, unless he clean up his stuff
